Legalizations and Apostilles
For the sake of legal certainty, third parties often require documents to be verified — for example, through the legalization of a signature or a certified true copy of an official document.
Our reception team will gladly assist you quickly and efficiently with these requests.
What is a Legalization?
Legalization is a formal process in which the authenticity of a signature is confirmed by the notary. This means the notary certifies that the person who signed the document is indeed the person they claim to be. Legalizations are commonly requested by banks, government agencies, and other institutions that require confirmation of a document’s validity.
What is an Apostille?
An apostille is an international form of legalization used for documents that will be sent abroad. It is issued by the Government of Aruba under the Hague Apostille Convention, and it confirms that the document (or the notary’s signature) is genuine. If you require an apostille, our office can arrange this for you directly with the appropriate government department, saving you time and effort.
Notarized Copies and Translations
When you need to submit documents to foreign authorities, a notarized copy or an official translation may also be required.
At NewLeaf Notary, we can assist you in preparing and notarizing these documents so they meet all local and international legal requirements.
We ensure that your documents are handled professionally, securely, and efficiently — giving you confidence that they will be recognized both in Aruba and abroad.
